A blue sky, a warm breeze, a for-once-fair-and-cooperative landlord (remember the water/laminate story: we very quickly decided to both blame the guy who had done the tiling behind the sink a few months back...fantastic!), a bit of wild guitar playing in the folklore ensemble, then an ice-cream and a couple of beer with nice people in the shade of a birch tree in the park, finished off with a take-away Chinese and an evening to myself with a non-challenging book and two long phone calls.

...Meanwhile a nasty little headache crept up from behind my left eye (thats what Mary gets from one bottle of beer, thanks very much), but I'm determined not to let that get me down tonight.
