Big, big world.

I am currently rereading Bill Bryson's "A short history of nearly everything" and once again find it mind-boggling. It makes me wish I was just that little bit cleverer (or had paid just a tad more attention during science classes) to be able to wrap my mind around things like subatomic particles, spacetime or the Theory of Relativity. Because I have the slight suspicion that it's fascinating stuff, only my brain is merely scratching at the surface of what this universe is all about (with a blunt, crooked tea spoon). Well, at least thanks to Mr Bryson it's still fun to read about things you don't even begin to understand, so I can only recommend him to anyone who's ever looked out at a night sky and wondered...

Somehow I find it very comforting to know that others don't get "it" (you know, life, the universe and all the rest) either. Even if it's just a comic strip character.
